We've been receiving weekly CS:GO beta updates and we've all gotten used to them, hoping at the end of every week to see what the future of CS:GO is shaping up to be. Unfortunately, csgo_dev published today that they won't be able to release one today but early next week. But hey, it's part of development, keep throwing your feedback at it!
Even with no update this week, Valve still sent a handful batch of beta keys, and with that we hope we can continue to see the beta grow and send more feedback to help shape the best Counter-Strike ever!
Cadred has also published a lengthy but really informative interview with Chet Faliszek from Valve where the community asked the questions. Read it here.
Thanks to our moderator @kimlo that provided us with an extra key for the CSGO beta we're going to do a quick and little giveaway, as it's only one key!
If you'd like to participate simply retweet our giveaway tweet, follow us on Facebook or reply to this thread! (The more the better!) We will be choosing a winner on friday night (-06:00 CST).
You MUST have more than 20 posts and have signed up to our forum before today (05/16/2012) to draft through our forum. Your participation may still apply through Twitter/Facebook.
asherkin one of the people involved in the development of SourceMod and Metamod has confirmed that they are indeed working on the CSGO version already and hope to have it available soon but no estimate was given.
For us server administrators this is great news! These tools allow to control bans, kicks, motd, and many other functions that help us customize or keep clean our servers.
After the exciting announcement of the release of CSGO server files I decided to set up two servers for our community. Go ahead and join us, help us test and meet the rest of our community in a nice friendly game! Unfortunately this is only available to those in the beta. Hopefully we can share more keys with the community soon!
With the scheduled weekly update and more beta invites, Valve has now released the server files to the public. You can find the complete instructions on installing the servers here. Take into consideration this server files are still in beta and many features have not yet been implemented.
Stay tuned as we at CounterStrikeGO.com will be opening a few public servers to play with other beta participants and help shape the future of CSGO. We will be posting soon our server IPs for those interested in joining us.
As per usual you may see the update changelog here or below.
